Whether you’re new to songwriting, have been doing it for years, or just like to listen to great music, we have a fun and informative event that you won’t want to miss! Join Senior Planet and singer/songwriter Maggie Rothwell to discuss the art of songwriting. Get inspired, share tips, perform original compositions, receive constructive feedback, and listen to songs written by other participants. All are invited to participate in this supportive and creative environment.
Maggie Rothwell is a singer/songwriter and guitarist who lives in the Hudson Valley region of New York. Maggie first began her career as an elementary school music teacher and, after raising her family, became a musician for therapeutic recreation departments in nursing homes. One of her other joys has been hosting an open mic for almost a decade. Maggie is thrilled to be bringing her passion for music and her desire to nurture the talent of others to Senior Planet’s Songwriter Night!
