Stand & Witness: Art in the Time of COVID-19

CDC Museum Opens Multi-Media Exhibition Showcasing Works Borne of the Pandemic

In many ways, artists are first responders, to repurpose a term often used in public health and emergency response. Soon after people started isolating in March 2020, artists took to their studios, desks, and Zoom to witness and process the COVID-19 pandemic. They continued to serve on the frontlines of COVID-19 interpretation throughout the pandemic.

Their works – visual, written, and recorded – are the subject of a new exhibition mounted by the David J. Sencer CDC Museum in Atlanta, through October 24, 2024.
